House Painting Starts Today

I am having my house painted today. Yesterday, the did the pressure washing with the Clorox Bleach and today they are doing the taping and caulking, with the chance of actually starting the painting as well. It's been almost 10 years since this house (bought new) has been painted and it's overdue.

I just received a call about a position at a large cellular company in my area looking for a Cisco ICM/Routing specialist and I hope to get an interview for it. I might not be an expert in everything, but through my experience at VB and working on the Microsoft account, I think I could do well there.

I also applied at a company called Verathon - a medical device company here in Bothell, Wa. I am hoping as well to hear from them as their products look outstanding. I am on the "cusp" as to where my next career will lead me. I am hoping that it's either going to be in the healthcare field and if not, most likely, it will be in some type of "telecom" related field. After 20 years in the telecommunications field and at the age of 45, it's hard to start from ground zero in  a new field. But.... The GOOD LORD WILL prevail in helping me find the job that he feels I will do the best. I am also still hoping for something at F5 Networks as well.

It looks like it's going to be a great day for painting!

I am working on my pmp exam and signed up for the www.pmstudy.com on line course for 2 months to get my 35 (PDU's) classroom hours of experience. At the same time, I am still reading my book, and speaking of books, my PMBOK guide is supposed to be in at the bookstore today. I had called them yesterday and they said that they had one for me and it would be on hold. I got there and there was a book on hold, but not for me! It turns out that they had a "used" one at their main store and instead of the $50.00 for the new, I am getting the used for $20.00 and I just had to wait one day!
